Description

Griendtsveen is a village in De Peel with about 570 inhabitants. It belongs to the municipality of Horst aan de Maas, in the Dutch province of Limburg. Griendtsveen was founded around 1885 and is closely interwoven with the mining of the peatbogs in De Peel. The entire village is a monument, as it is a perfect example of a Peat-Mining-Village.
