National Park De Maasduinen consists of different nature reserves which are managed by foundation Limburgs Landschap, the municipality of Bergen, the Forestry Service and private individuals who all work closely together to keep this unique area in top condition. Bergerheide close to the village Nieuw-Bergen is one of these nature reserves which has a varied landscape with riverdunes, small and big fens, heathland, forests, agriculture land and the beautiful lake Reindersmeer.
For these series I visited Bergerheide on a misty morning (December 12, 2015) and a week later around the same time on a very colorful morning (December 20, 2015).
